CHECK OUT OUR STAFF'S FAVORITES!!!

THREADS FOR THOUGHT AT SEED

What began as a small business manufacturing and marketing graphic tee shirts that were made exclusively from organic cotton, gave back to charity, and promoted a cleaner environment, or advocated for peace, has grown into a complete lifestyle brand. Their primary mission is to promote a sense of responsibility for those who share this world with us… but rather than simply broadcasting that message on the front of tee shirts, the company has incorporated those principles into our very existence. Their products use sustainable materials and are manufactured in the most sustainable manner possible. We only work with factories that respect their employees and treat them humanely and fairly. We continue to work closely with several highly regarded charities, notably the International Rescue Committee (the IRC) and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to promote and support the excellent work that they do in the areas of humanitarian and environmental response.

Roman Candles is an Indie Rock ban from Orange County.  They have released a handful of tapes and a 7" on Young Fool Records. OC Weekly compares the band to THE WHO. Boredom hates their guts and Razorlate wishes they would break up already.

MUSIC TO MY EARS

MEET JACOB BROWN!!! He has been a part of the SEED family for some time now and this SATURDAY April 28th, 2012 he will be gracing us with his musical talents.

In High School he was involved in several art mediums as a film student, but once he graduated he needed to find a new outlet to stimulate him creatively.  He turned to the guitar, which was introduced to him by his close friends Martin Stanley and Etha Plate.  Both of which would allow Jacob borrow guitars as he explored his new medium.  He found that music came natural to him and began writing and performing his own songs with a band that he had formed during this time.  Currently the band has gone on hiatus and now Jacob is back to writing and performing music by himself.  He enjoys writing songs that give the listener insight into how he perceives the world.

MEET THE MAKER

Desiree B. traded her paint brushes for a sewing machine when she came to live in the US from chilly London.  Combining a love of drawing with sewing, she began making plushies and anything else that came to mind including an entire greeting card line.  She continues to feel excitement and anticipation at the start of each project which she hopes is reflected in the final product.  Eco-friendly means taking something old and making it new and loved again.  As with any handmade product no two items are every exactly the same and that's the way she like it.
